Centre For Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH)

The Center for Research and Technology (CERTH), founded in 2000, is the only research center in Northern Greece and one of the largest in the country. CERTH has significant scientific and technological achievements in many fields. Today, CERTH includes the following five institutes:

  1. Chemical Process & Energy Resources Institute (CPERI),
  2. Information Technologies Institute (ITI),
  3. Hellenic Institute of Transport (HIT),
  4. Institute of Applied Biosciences (INAB),
  5. Institute of Research and Technology – Thessalia (IRETETH).

CERTH participates in this project through ITI and specifically with the Multimedia Knowledge and Social Media Analytics Lab (MKLab).

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Department of Architectural Engineering - Research Unit "Innovative Environments"

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) is a state institution founded in 1925. AUTh, in the period 2009-2011, collaborated with 1,700 institutions (Universities, Research Centers and Companies) for the implementation of 3,500 RTD projects (Research and Technological Development). The Department of Architecture, founded in 1950, is one of the seven departments of the Polytechnic School. The main goal of the academic training offered by the department is to create the profile of an architect capable of dealing with a wide range of professional activities that cover all scales of space, all levels of design and redesign. The Research Cluster entitled “Innovative Environments” serves the research, academic and educational needs of innovative and advanced versions in the fields of architectural design, urban design, landscape architecture and landscape design and the design of experimental devices in a range of corresponding scales.

Tetragon

TETRAGON was founded in 1999 by the architects Eleni Vretzaki, Gioti Ioannidis and Ilias Papadopoulos. It is a continuation of the company TETRAS, which was created in 1984 and was active mainly in the field of exhibition architecture. Since then the company has expanded the range of its activities with successful collaborations and projects throughout Greece and abroad. TETRAGON is a member of the global network of OCTANORM (OSPI Partner), of the pan-European network of science centers and museums ECSITE, participated in HELEXPRO Exhibition Construction SA, a subsidiary of HELEXPO, and is ISO 9001: 2015 certified. Its partners are members of ICOM (International Council of Museums), while the company’s human resources amount to 25 people and its creative departments are composed of architects, museologists, historians, archaeologists, designers, decorators, graphic designers and technicians, with high scientific training, know-how and experience. TETRAGON is involved in the development of methodologies for the better creation of scenarios and narratives in interactive spaces.

up2metric (U2M)

up2metric IKE (Project Abbreviation: U2M) is a start-up company, which develops innovative solutions and provides specialized engineering services through a combination of cutting-edge technologies in the fields of Computer Vision, Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing, Metrology and Earth Observation. Its goal is to transfer high quality knowledge and specialization from academia to production. In this context, specialized, B2B software and solutions are developed, which are based on a core of basic key enabling technologies: 3D computer vision, image processing and Deep Learning, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Drones. Finally, U2M participates in the Technology Park “Lefkipos” of NCSR Demokritos and in the Hellenic Photonics Cluster.

Friends Of Music Society

The Friends of Music Society was founded in 1953 with the primary vision of the creation of Megaron- Athens Concert Hall, which it carried out. With the opening of Megaron in 1991, the Society established the Friends of Music Orchestra (Athens Camerata) and with the generous support of the Lillian Voudouris Foundation created the Music Library of Greece in 1997. The main goals and activities of the Society are the development of educational and research programs, the organization of artistic and cultural events and the support and promotion of Greek music creation. It also offers scholarships through its trust funds, while also organizing music competitions for young musicians and artists. The new space created within the Music Library of the Friends of Music Society, MusiXLab (capacity 40-50 people), will be used for the implementation of the project.
